Problem: Since October 1, 2001, over 6,855 service men and women have been killed in action. In addition, another 52,351+ have been wounded in action. Of those wounded in battle, over 1,645 have suffered major amputations. Thousands more suffer from PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and on average twenty-two veterans a day commit suicide.
When many of our service men and women come back from war, their lives will never be the same. They come back to a world where many of them feel they no longer fit, their old “normal” is no longer their new “normal”, and they are struggling to find their way in life given their new circumstances.
Vision: To wrap our arms around our military members to show them we support them, we appreciate them, and we are grateful for their sacrifices.
Mission: We lovingly rebuild lives and families by providing support, rekindling passions, and rebuilding homes.
Objectives: Build new homes for wounded service men and women that accommodate their new needs both physically and mentally. Building these homes brings families closer together and makes them once again the king or queen of their castle.
Strategy: Form strategic alliances with businesses in the development, design, and consumer goods industries to build twelve homes a year. The builds will be featured in a new Netflix series. This is a strategic attempt to build awareness for the issue, support for the cause, and good will for our sponsors.
Next Steps: We are looking for raise $50,000. We need the funds to set up the foundation of the organization, file all of the necessary organizational documents, and to get the organization off the ground.
