About

When we think of organic or GMO Free, Free Range or whole foods, what comes to mind? Maybe you picture old time farmers tilling the soil with an old time tractor, or maybe you picture livestock grazing over rolling hills. This world has no pesticides, no dreaded GMOs and certainly no hormones. The truth is that there is really no such thing. All of our food uses some technological process to increase yields or we wouldn’t be able to feed ourselves.

The farming and food processing industry has changed quite a bit in the last decade and one thing is for sure, they have done an excellent job of spinning the perceptions of our food supply. They have rekindled our connection with where our food comes from, which is both good and bad. The mission of BackToFarm.com is to provide verified, unbiased, and honest facts and information about the food system and where our food comes from. Buzzwords like “natural”, “sustainable”, and “organic” have flooded the market. Making it unclear of what it really is about our food and the way it is grown that makes it healthy or not. At BackToFarm, we cut through all of the clutter. We believe that there is a fit for science in the way our food is grown, but, most importantly, food must be produced safely, responsibly, and with the best interests of the world in mind.
